Vacancy - Assistant Musical Director

Bradford Festival Choral Society is seeking an Assistant Musical Director from January 2010.

Bradford Festival Choral Society is one of the oldest and most dynamic choral societies in the North of England. Having recently celebrated its 150th anniversary BFCS is enjoying a musical revival under the direction of Thomas Leech. The choir performs a minimum of four concerts per season in some of the most prestigious venues in Bradford, working with professional orchestras, bands and soloists. We are at an exciting stage in our development as a choir and we are seeking the services of an experienced choral accompanist to play for our weekly rehearsals.

The role will also include taking sectional rehearsals, and occasional full rehearsals in the absence of the Musical Director. The Assistant Musical Director will be encouraged to contribute to the general musical development of BFCS.

The current fee is £62 per two hour rehearsal. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings in Saltaire, from 7.30pm-9.30pm.
